BALTIC MASKS

How to check a product document

Start with the full model name on the product and packaging. The name should match the document you are checking.

  1. Identify whether the file is a technical data sheet, conformity declaration, type-examination certificate or a statement for a particular batch.
  2. Check the model, manufacturer, document number and revision or issue date.
  3. Read any printed expiry and conditions. Do not use the website upload date as the certificate validity date.
  4. For a batch declaration, match the LOT number and the manufacture and expiry information to the actual goods.
  5. Ask the supplier for current documents for the exact model and proposed order if anything is missing or inconsistent.

A statement extending a batch’s storage period does not itself extend a separate type-examination certificate. A document index helps locate files; it is not independent certification.
